Visual Basic
This course provides an introduction to programming in Visual Basic.
The course uses a workshop approach, illustrating key features with practical
hands-on examples. Students will gain experience in manipulating objects
in an event-driven environment and at the end of the course will be able
to develop user-friendly Windows applications.

- Understand application development using various tools of Visual Basic.
- Use controls to add standard user-interface elements to an application.
- Identify and use conditional statements and loops.
- Develop applications that use multiple windows.
- Create standard or custom file-access dialog boxes.
- Declare and use standard and user-defined data types.
- Identify, develop and use Sub and Function procedures.
- Identify and compare the three types of file access and enable an
application to create, read and save to files.
- Use the Data Control to access a Microsoft Access database.

should also understand basic programming concepts.
