Course Description

Macromedia Fireworks provides real-world Web graphics workflow that streamlines design, optimization and creation of a working Web page. Students will learn how to use Fireworks to create graphics with both vector and bitmap images, apply special effects, build buttons, and add rollovers. Learn to optimize your images and use the Export preview to compare formats and palette choices before making the final output decision.

Course Objectives
  • Create graphics for presentation on the web.
  • Manipulate vector graphics and import and modify bitmap graphics.
  • Create and export interactive image maps using hotspot linking.
  • Add graphical text to Web-based images. Import and modify text from other formats.
    Optimize graphics for the web.
  • Create GIFs and JPEGs using Fireworks' export tools.
